AS MOST FRESHMAN COLLEGE STUDENTS CAN AGREE, DETERMINING A MAJOR CAN BE HARD. YOU COULD COME TO YOUR SCHOOL WITH A CHOSEN MAJOR AND THEN REALIZE IT ISN’T FOR YOU. OR YOU COULD COME TO SCHOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WITH THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.
My Story
I was the student that stepped on to campus with no idea what I wanted to do. I experimented with a few classes in different majors while completing my general education requirements. Yet, nothing seemed to fit.
Finally, throughout my last semester of Sophomore year, I was introduced to the best department in the world. Recreation and Event Management. Fast forward to the final semester of my Junior year, I am now employed at the Events and Conference Services on campus. It is an opportunity that few get to have before actually graduating with their degree. I have never been so passionate about a career in my life. For this blog, I am here to give tips for those who were in my position as far as school and career wise. Whilst doing that, I will be sharing the amazing aspects of the Event Management Industry.
